Essager Hand-Held Fan Review
Performance

The airflow from this small hand-held fan is quite strong. With adjustable speed levels up to a 100 steps, you can choose a level which balances good airflow and battery life. The special feature of this fan is the cooling metal plate. When turned on, the metal plate in front of the fan instantly cools and you can feel the icy cool effect when you touch the plate. I would say the metal plate is very cold as it condenses water almost immediately. The air however only slightly feels cooler and I don’t think the cooling metal plate and change the temperature too much because the airflow is very high.
Noise Level
The noise level of the Essager hand-held fan is extremely bad. Even at the slowest speed (1), the fan is very noisy and it is worst of all the hand-held fans that I have used. At the highest speed (100), the noise is almost unbearable unless you are in a very noisy environment like a rock concert.
User Interface
The fan comes with only 2 buttons, 1 for the power button and another for the cooling button. This makes the wind speed selection very cumbersome as you need to press and hold the power button. The power button actually cycles through the wind speed from 0 (off), 25, 50, 75 and 100. The adjustable head can be tilted from 0 to 180 degree.
Battery Life and Charging

With 4000 mAh battery, the fan can last up to 7 hours with the slowest speed and 1.5 hours with the middle speed level. However, if you turned on the cooling plate, it will only last at most 30 mins regardless of the fan speed.
The charging speed for this fan is unbelievably slow. The input power rating is 5 W (5V at 1A). With this setting, it takes approximately 4 hours to fully charged the battery. It is not convenient in this sense as you need to wait 4 hours in order to use it for 1.5 hours typically.
ConClusion
The Essager hand-held fan is a nice portable gadget to use when you’re outdoor or camping. It provides a good airflow at the slowest speed and it gives instant cooling when you need it with the cooling plate. But there are quite a few cons with this fan you need to take note if you decided to get it. There are many alternatives in the market and you may want to take a look at the best rated portable fan.
