Mobi Garden Foam Mat Review
The Mobi Garden foam mat is one of the lightest sleeping pads available. Weighs around 500g it can fold or roll small enough to strap to a backpack. The closed-cell foam is puncture-proof, waterproof and requires zero maintenance – no valves, no inflation and no leaks. It is great for rough terrain, desert camping or as an emergency kit.
The Mobi Garden foam mat can be setup instantly and requires no blowing air or waiting. With 1.7 cm thickness, it provides enough cushioning and insulation from the ground. The “egg crate” surface provides better comfort than flat foam and helps with moisture wicking and airflow. Some campers use it under an inflatable pad to boost insulation (R-value) and protect against punctures.
The only downside to this camping mat is it is bulkier than inflatables when packed. The foam can scuff and the colors (sand or green) may fade over time. However, I still prefer this foam map to an inflatable due to its durability and value for money.
